1972 192, xxx Selmer Mark VI Alto Saxophone Completely Overhauled and ready to play. 1972 Was Selmer's peak when it comes to acoustics, Innovation, ergonomics, and Technology. This horn plays and sounds like the epitome of what a Selmer saxophone should play and sound and that is without exaggeration. The restoration work was done by John Uttech of Music and Brass and Ryan Walker of Music Medic. These two outfits were carefully sought out , fully qualified, and highly recommended by Anderson Silver Plate of Elkhart Indiana and are also known for their years of experience and first class craftsmanship.I have personally selected this horn prior to any restoration and it has met with my personsl approval and still does. This horn is also coming from my personal collection of fine saxophones and is in excellent condition inside and out. Undoubtfully that Selmer Sound with a taste of dry Martini kind of thing going on (like fresh blown air with a well focused center and a feathered edge). Excellent for recordings and live performances. You may have minor adjustments, if any, done on your end and by your technician.
You also are welcome to come into my home and try out the horn prior to making a decision. This is understood as part of this sale. I use no metal tone boosters because this sax did not need any enhancement or special introduction.
This one is exceptional for it's beauty and ease of playing and is deemed a "sax player's" horn. Selmer Vangard case and cover. If you have questions, please let me know as I do not wish to have any misunderstandings regarding anything.
