Silver neck serial number matches the horn. If you know these horns you know the details and you know why they are sought after, and quite rare.Pictures show what is left of the original pearl "inlay, " which show significant wear. The palm "F" pearl appears to have been replaced, as well as the notes B, A, F, E, and D.
The cork on the octave pearl can be removed - I only added it for comfort. There is soldering next to the thumb rest, which Bill said was rock solid.
This horn plays in tune with a warm, beautifully spread sound. The item "1938 King Zephyr Special Alto Saxophone Recent Overhaul" is in sale since Tuesday, June 9, 2020.
