1954 Noblet Paris Eb Alto Saxophone

1954 Noblet Paris Eb Alto Saxophone made in Paris, France by Le Blanc and Beaugnier. Excellent, professional level horns made very similar to Buffet Super Dynaction and Selmer Super Balanced Action. It has the bright "French Sound" and plays well from upper to lower registers. Features fully ribbed construction, full pearls and fine engraving on the Bell, etc. Has correct and original neck with factory bracing, but shows some signs of moderate dent repair. Body of horn is straight, with comfortable, fluid key action, factory needle springs, and original lacquer as the engraving and all its filigree is very sharp. The horn sits on Buffet Style Pads with Metal Resonators, and plays moderately well from upper to lower registers. Comes in correct 1950's era Lifton Tray Pak Case with Clarinet Case Insert. These 1950's Noblet Altos have a following as they are a good alternative to much higher priced Selmer Mark VI's. I have played on many Buffets and Selmer Saxes and this Noblet compares very well in build quality, construction and playability. Lower left hand table works well although, it's a bit different than most modern saxes and takes some getting used to. Compares to SML Gold Medal Saxes and lower tables.
