1960 Selmer Paris Mark VI Pro Alto Saxophone Fresh Repad Unlacquered 89xxx Rare
This alto saxophone has just received a complete repad and mechanical overhaul, including an ultrasonic cleaning, keys swedged, all new pads installed(Selmer style plastic resonators) and new corks/felts installed. There are no current major dents present and several minor dings do not affect performance. The neck is in very good condition(no signs of pull down).
This alto sax has scratches throughout from normal use, almost no lacquer exists on the body or keys and a nice patina should develop over time. The bell engraving is intact, though much of the detailed engraving is faint. The body and neck have different serial numbers(body s/n is in the upper 89, xxx range and the neck s/n is in the upper 114, xxx range).
Included is a somewhat used Selmer wood shell alto sax case. With two interior storage compartments-one for the neck and one can hold a flute. Exterior has signs of wear, interior is intact and smells musty, latches work as intended and both handles are intact. A vintage wood "Selmer" style end plug is included.
