This is a professional level sax that was offered by Selmer USA at a marginally lower price point than the Selmer Paris horns. Indeed, this is undoubtedly a professional level instrument. It features fully ribbed construction and blue steel needle springs.

It has tight, snappy action with key-work including a tilting Bb mechanism and high F# key. There is an adjustable plastic thumb hook. It also has beautiful full bell/bow length engraving, done by the same artisans who etched the French made horns. This one is in ready to play condition right out of the box! It has just had a thorough servicing known as a "COA" job.

The entire instrument is dis-assembled so that the body and neck can be washed. The keys are individually wiped down, and degraded key oil is removed with pipe cleaners and replaced with fresh lubricant. All pads/corks/felts are carefully inspected, and adjusted or replaced if necessary, so that they are sealing properly with a light touch. This horn plays great from top to bottom now, as you can hear in the video demonstration (linked below) of this actual instrument. See the product in action. This sax is in excellent physical condition.

The body is perfectly straight, and the neck has not been pulled down or otherwise damaged. There are no dents or dings. The keys are all operating smoothly.

The lacquer is almost fully intact, with minimal light scratching. The pads are in excellent condition, with lots of life left in them. This sax comes in a hard, wood shell case. I think the case is actually from a slightly newer Vito...

I remember having one just like it with my first rental horn when I started playing around 1990. It fits this horn well, and is in overall very good condition.

It has some of the exterior covering scuffed away on the bottom, and some normal wear to the interior, but nothing major. It is clean and odor free inside. There is no mouthpiece, nor any other accessories included, except for a plastic end plug.
