Buescher True Tone Gold Plated Eb Alto Saxophone-Great Engraving

Buescher True Tone Gold Plated Alto Saxophone on offer with serial number 168XXX, dating the horn to 1924. The Buescher Alto plays decently from low Bb to high F on non-original tan leather pads with domed plastic resonators. The action of the horn is ok, an adjustment and maybe a pad or two wouldn't hurt-please budget for taste/need. The body & keys shows plenty of gold plate/finish wear but the original extensive, beautiful, burnished bell engraving is sharp and looks excellent.

One key guard on the bell looks to be taken from another non-gold plated True Tone and has been attached with not the cleanest solder work. Please note that all pearl key touches appear to be original but there is extensive wear on some of them, especially the left hand octave pearl (see photo).

The body itself is in pretty good shape with the plating at about 70% of the body and keys. The neck has one good size ding and the neck octave key has been re-soldered/repaired and now provides a tight seal. The neck finish does not fully match the body but still looks like gold plating to me. A couple photos detail the neck faults.
