Keilwerth straight alto sax Museum quality Only 100 in existence

I just had a clarinet player come over to my house. He was a phenomenal musician who makes his living playing with a very good orchestra. He had a heavy classical background but loved jazz.

There are two necks that come with this saxophone. He said one was perfect for him as a classical clarinet player.

But he liked the other neck as well for playing all styles. I had never heard the straight alto played as flawlessly as this gentleman played it. He obviously loved it too.

I'm trying to get the recording he made trying it out. But one of the baddest jazz alto players alive, plays one and it sounds like his Selmer. The rock sax Player with Simply Red tours with it and sounds great too.

So I've heard this horn sound great in classical, jazz and rock. Julius Keilwerth SX90R Straight Alto Sax - Made in 1992.

All original everything just like it came from th factory. There were only 100 made. One source for there only being 100 made is Al Maniscalco from Sax on the Web. He goes by the name " Julius Kielwerth ".

I truly dare you to find one in more pristine condition. This has the lowest serial # of the few I've seen offered for sale. It is stunning to look at.

Ex Miles Davis saxophonist Kenny Garret owns one. He sounds incredible on it! There are a few You Tube videos of him playing it!

He uses a Selmer Soloist E or F.... That is what I used trying it out and will one more time so I can make a You Tube video for you. I haven't had a gig in 4 months because of Covid but it should give you a good idea ofof what it sounds like. It plays effortlessly from top to bottom more like my 79K Mark VI alto than any of my other altos.. This is probably for a collector or a player that tours a lot..... Someone like Ian Kirkham with " Simply Red ". The horn has become part of his show because the audiences are always fascinated. The horn stops people in their tracks! The horn is very precise.... I could see a modern classical player using one in presentations as classical groups are getting wilder these days! I was going to use it for possible tours and definitely for concerts. However, I have too many incoming costs at present and must let it go along with a 5digit Mark VI tenor and other goodies. I'm located in St. Augustine but often drive from Jacksonville to Key West so if you are a Floridian , You can drive to visit my sanitized house and try the horn with your mouthpiece and reed setup... (I tested negative last week and mask up), or I might be able to visit you. I have a Ft Lauderdale trip and a Key West trip coming up soon.

Seeing and playing this horn will turn your world around. I play it in hallways or mic it nicely with monitors as the bell is low and the sound travels differently!
