Let Us Refurbish Your Yamaha Alto Saxophone. Most anybody can replace saxophone pads, but it takes expertise to perfectly set and seal them. We have 2 decades experience refurbishing Yamaha saxophones.

We follow Yamaha's guidance, and use the original real leather Selmer style pads... If you want us to use your chosen pads, such as the "Roo" pads, please check before purchasing. At no extra charge, we do work on some simple dents if requested. If you want a photo progressive emailed of the refurbishing as it transitions, let us know when ordering. Entire refurbishing ready 8-9 days after receiving!

Absolute pleasure to deal with. My Alto Sax hasn't looked or played this well since I was a Senior in High School back in'83. Had Ywoodwinds refurbish it for my son who is starting the sax now. Communication every step of the way, including photos. The local shop wanted 3x the cost for the same service.

AND they included a new OEM Yamaha neck strap at no charge and didn't even mention it. Anyway, without hesitation my highest recommendation. This is the work order of our full refurbish. Saxophone is completely dismantled, lightly cleaned, the seal at the bell joint checked for leaks, the keyholes checked for damage, and if possible, at this time, work on accessible minor dents (part of the refurbishing). All pads replaced (including both octave pads) unless you request otherwise.

Then all pads will be set & sealed air tight to a critical level. All springs and rods checked/adjusted for a fluid play and replaced or corrected as needed. All cork spacers, supports, and bumpers checked and replaced as needed. All multi-play/key settings/controls adjusted and set for correct coordinated key closings. Replace neck cork tenon along with the 2 octave pads. If you want to upgrade the neck to one of Yamaha's newest advanced necks, we do discount the price, including the V1 series. We closely check the keyhole plane for the lower Bb, C and B keyholes and level if needed, it's imperative that these keyholes be leveled and brought to plane, it insures an ease of playing with the lowest keys. If any metal parts need to be replaced, they are priced at our Yamaha discount price, and we do inventory most all Yamaha parts. Step 9 begins the almost daily testing/pad sealing process, and it is a multi step process across 5-7 days, making sure all new leather pads and corks have permanently cured in place.
