Martin "Typewriter" Model Alto Saxophone, Restored For Your Collection. Technically speaking this is a Martin Handcraft Master alto saxophone. It gets the nickname "Typewriter Model" because all of the key touch pieces have round pearls. By my count there are 23 of them! They look like the keys of an old-fashioned typewriter this is before there were computers, children....
Serial number 97834 dates if manufacture to 1929. The horn has been completely restored.
Original silver plating is at least 95% intact. The body has a satin silver finish, they keys are polished silver and the bell is gold plated.
All new pads corks and felts. The horn plays great, though the pearl touch pieces take a bit of getting used to. A great addition to your collection, or take it out on a gig if gigs ever come back..... Remember, your offer is a binding contract. We are happy to answer them if we can.
