SELMER AIR FLOW ALTO SAXOPHONE MOUTHPIECE PRE-SOLOIST SHORT SHANK C in OVAL
Check out my other items. Be sure to add me to your favorites list. His listing is for a vintage Selmer (Paris) scroll shank mouthpiece for alto saxophone. This is the one that came right before the short shank Soloist, if I'm not mistaken.
It has the scroll design on the shank, but is a bit fatter and stubbier than a first generation Soloist. Also, it has a small round chamber, rather than the horseshoe shaped chamber.It is marked "C" in an oval on the table. Apparently classical players are quite fond of this model. This mouthpiece is in excellent condition. The tip, table, and rails are smooth, and all original. There are no tooth indentations on the beak.
It is a bit discolored, and there are some ligature scratches, but for being roughly 75 years old it is in great shape! This is due to lack of available transportation ie.
