A vintage and very rare Conn Chu Berry 8M Alto Saxophone from 1928. This rare silver finished beauty is from the New Wonder production years. This horn shines but does not play and will need a full overhaul. Great opportunity to get a Conn Chu Berry at a low cost. Especially when you realize this great saxophone is nearly 100 years old!

The silver finish looks good for the age and has some dark spots on the bell and a little rust on a few screws. The engraving area looks good. See the photos and ask for more if you want.

The bell has the beautiful original hand engraving as well which was most likely done by one of the three Conn master craftsman at the Elkhart, Indiana factory. There are no serious dents, dings, or repair spots. Take it to shop for an overhaul... Grab a neck and mouthpiece and have fun.

This sax has the fantastic rolled tone holes as well! Regarding the serial number, the top line shows the patent date for the Conn drawn hole patent. The second line is the patent number (119954). Ive tried to be as descriptive as possible (with text and photos) since I know this is a special saxophone. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

I have priced this saxophone low compared to other similar Conn Chu Berry Saxophones because it needs work. If you like rare horns you know what this is and will want to add it to your collection. There are very few Chu Berrys of any condition online for this low of a price. Dont miss your chance to get this saxophone!
