Today I'll be listing a large lot of mouthpieces for all saxophones sop. Alto, tenor, and bari and clarinet. Brian is one half of the duo known as "The Mouthpiece Guys". He is one of the most highly respected, and in demand re-facers in the business. The mouthpieces from this group have generally not been'opened up', but rather'touched up'/'perfected'.

That is to say that they are at the same general specifications as they were originally made, however they have had minute adjustments performed to optimize their performance, as can only be accomplished by the hand facing of a skilled artisan. These pieces are all initialled "BP" by Brian, and have their tip openings indicated as well. His listing is for a vintage Selmer Soloist alto saxophone mouthpiece.

This is not the current re-make, but rather, a true vintage 1960's era scroll shank mouthpiece. This was the second iteration of the Soloist line. It has a long shank, and "Soloist" appears on the table.

This piece has been touched up/perfected by Brian Powell, as mentioned above. He did not open it up, but rather just perfected the facing while keeping it at the original. He inscribed it lightly on the side with his initials, and the tip opening. It is in excellent condition. The facing is perfectly smooth, and there are no tooth indentations on the beak.

The rubber is bright and shiny, with not a scratch on it. It has been cleaned/sanitized, so it is ready to use. This is due to lack of available transportation ie. If this potential wait presents a problem for you, please refrain from purchasing at this time.
