This is not the current re-make, but rather, a true vintage 1970's era scroll shank mouthpiece. This was the last iteration of the Soloist line. It is essentially the same as the 1960's era long shank "Soloist", however they dropped that name in the 1970's, hence these are referred to as "Soloist-style".
This one comes in a super rare, and original, "F" tip opening! These mouthpieces are not at all uncommon, but the vast majority of them out there are in smaller tip openings such as C, C, and C. The larger openings are rare as hen's teeth, and highly desired by contemporary players! This mouthpiece is in excellent used condition. The tip and side rails are perfectly smooth, and there are no tooth indentations on the beak. The rubber shows some fading/discoloration from age, but the logo is still clear. I t has been cleaned/sanitized, so it is ready to use. The item "VINTAGE SELMER SOLOIST STYLE ALTO SAXOPHONE MOUTHPIECE RARE ORIGINAL F TIP" is in sale since Tuesday, December 29, 2020.
