The all new Yamaha YAS-875EXII has been redesigned with todays top professionals to provide a horn that offers the most expressive sound and stress-free playing experience. During the re-design process, Yamaha took into consideration the low end of these horns. So with experimentation, they decided to reduce the diameter of the low C and D tone holes, which resulted in ease in playing the low end, without flux in sound, and without changing the resistance throughout the horn. Also re-designed is the Customer EX mouthpiece, which is included with this horn.

The re-designed mouthpiece offers greater projection as well as soft, beautiful tonality. The shape of the tip has been modified for increased comfort and easier tonal control. With all that said, youre looking at the top competitor in the market for professional saxophones.

With the new, more ergonomic key layout design, the new Custom EX gives players unrivaled comfort and provides stress-free and nimble action. Easy to Play in the Lower Register. During the design process, Yamaha experimented with new methods for producing the bottom bow of the instrument. The diameter of the low C and D toneholes has been reduced and Yamahas unique acoustic annealing process has been applied to enhance low note playability. Resistance is consistent throughout the instruments range.

Yamaha saxophones are renowned for their fantastic intonation and the new Custom EX is no different. Yamaha has optimized the tonehole sizes and positions which has made the intonation on this new instrument better than ever. The Custom EX saxophone features a new lily design which is hand engraved on every instrument.

The Custom EX saxophone is complemented by Yamahas redesigned Custom ebonite mouthpiece. The baffle, chamber, and other areas of internal design have been re-designed for greater projection as well as soft, beautiful tonality. The semi-hard backpack-style case supplied with the new Custom EX is made from a stylish durable material and features a special Custom EX badge.
